Recovery Must Be Near

Chicken Soup

I am feeling a bit better this afternoon. I think part of the problem may be my blood pressure. The cardiologist changed my med last week because the one I was taking was making me cough. Since then it’s been running about 165/85. I called the office today and they had me double the dose. I’m hoping this makes a permanent difference in how I feel. The headache and other body aches have definitely let up today. With luck they won’t come back!

Thank you all for your concern and your home remedies.

Fantasy Friday #1

Posted by adamswife on February 1, 2008

The rules are very simple: Write about your fantasy day, week, month, job, lover, or whatever your imagination suggests. Should you decide to post a Friday Fantasy, please leave a link in comments so I and others can come to visit you.

NightSkyFairy

In my perfect world my sweetheart and I would awaken after a sound sleep when the sun peeked in the window. While he got showered and shaved I would prepare a breakfast of tall biscuits and sausage gravy with sausage patties on the side because that’s our favorite. (I know what you’re thinking, but remember in a perfect world no one has high cholesterol or weight issues.)

After a leisurely breakfast my sweetheart washes the dishes and cleans the kitchen while I have my turn in the shower.

We leave our beautiful, energy-efficient home and take a walk through our own woods. We check on the blooming flowers and the vegetables growing in the garden. We stop by the barn to see the new calf, the cow, and the pigs. The hired hand has been taking good care of everything. We hear him mowing the 2-acre lawn.

I spend the afternoon in the kitchen putting last minute touches on a meal for our family and friends. It’s just a small party with 20 guests. We’ll be dining outdoors near the pool and hot tub. On the menu are beef steaks and chicken done on the grill, my famous home-made potato salad, fresh-baked rolls, fresh vegetables from the garden, with fresh fruit and home-made ice cream for dessert.

When the guests have all left the pool and returned to their homes, my sweetheart and I will retire to our room for another peaceful night. The maid will clean up the mess tomorrow while we drive into the mountains to spend another perfect day.
