A Short Meme

Posted by adamswife on February 12, 2008

Jientje has tagged me with a meme. This is a very short and easy meme. Here are the rules:

1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).

2. Open the book to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the next three sentences.

5. Tag 5 people. Post a comment here once you post the meme to your blog, so I can come see.

Okay, the nearest book of at least 123 pages is by Sheri Dew, God Wants a Powerful People. Fifth sentence and next three sentences.

So contentious and confusing were the claims of various ministers and religions to the boy Joseph that he found it impossible “for a person young as I was, and so unacquainted with men and things, to come to any certain conclusion who was right and who was wrong” (JS-H 1:8). After reading the familiar passage in James, Joseph realized he must “either remain in darkness and confusion, or else . . . do as James directs, that is, ask of God” (JS-H 1:13), which he did, with life-changing, even dispensation-inaugurating results.
There would be subsequent times when he would experience anew the impact of contention.

Okay, that’s what I’m reading right now. Who to tag? Dane Bramage, Imaginary Binky, Sarcastic Mom, IA Admin, and Ask the Dietitian.

Thanks for the tag. I’ll be happy to do this, but because I already have my blog for tomorrow, I’ll do this one on Thursday. Yupp, I’ll add it to my Thursday Thirteen, because the book that’s next to me is a cute one, and of course it has some stuff about food, but in a totally different way……………:)

  5. Jientje tagged me for this one … I did a variation on the theme at Small Reflections along with a few other things today. Stop by and check it out.

Well, I’ve combined your meme with Iowa Avenue’s Thursday Thirteen. What do you think?

  7. Mission Accomplished!

  8. Okay I finally got around to it. Check it out here.

  9. Hello, of course I came to visit your site and thanks for letting me know about it.
I just read this post and wanted to say it is full of number one resources. Some I am familiar with. For those who don’t know these other sites they are in for a treat as there is a lot to learn there.
