A Short Meme
Posted by adamswife on February 12, 2008
Jientje has tagged me with a meme. This is a very short and easy meme. Here are the rules:
1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag 5 people. Post a comment here once you post the meme to your blog, so I can come see.
Okay, the nearest book of at least 123 pages is by Sheri Dew, God Wants a Powerful People. Fifth sentence and next three sentences.
So contentious and confusing were the claims of various ministers and religions to the boy Joseph that he found it impossible “for a person young as I was, and so unacquainted with men and things, to come to any certain conclusion who was right and who was wrong” (JS-H 1:8). After reading the familiar passage in James, Joseph realized he must “either remain in darkness and confusion, or else . . . do as James directs, that is, ask of God” (JS-H 1:13), which he did, with life-changing, even dispensation-inaugurating results.
There would be subsequent times when he would experience anew the impact of contention.
Okay, that’s what I’m reading right now. Who to tag? Dane Bramage, Imaginary Binky, Sarcastic Mom, IA Admin, and Ask the Dietitian.
